This resource is undergoing near-daily updates & reorganization. I have build a private reference library via the Pocket app approaching 20 years, but found it long overdue to make it shareable and above all a collaborative project, and so I do not need to tediously list links as I did for our Covid Misinformation Campaign.
And yes, this library is collaborative! Please let us know if you have anything you’d like to add and we can share you a link to be a contributor!
Some primary sections are organized to be actionable/educational resources, while others are frankly pure shit-posting and references for future articles written by Matt. And while certain sections are clearly biased, we also provide in-depth anti-mis/disinformation & debunking resources that have led us to these conclusions.
When providing community support resources for my friends and patients I found no real single consolidated place to point someone when looking for say mental health crisis resources. Or in my clinical research I found myself sharing individual links with my clients, only to have to dig them up for the next when they present with a similar medical condition. Or in my own journalistic essay writing I found it much easier to compile my references in one place for both integrity and transparency.

So while I totally admit it can appear obsessive (lol admittedly definitely neurospicy), instead I see it the other way around: we should *all be striving to fact check ourselves, provide reputable sources in our views, maintain journalistic integrity, and be held accountable for where we source our perspectives to counter this era of reactionary disinformation.
I must stress: no website or speaker or channel is totally flawless. I actually may often disagree with some of the points these channels I support express. I am merely sharing them because I support the general sentiment, and more specifically: I share them as starting points for people new to politics or science. To be specific, while my science-based posting is clearly more rooted in drilled-down peer-reviewed research, with politics that gets much trickier as while I have extensive training in medical research, I do not have a law degree. And further, whereas in science there are clear fact-based “right and wrongs” in politics there is much more grey area and room for dialogue/opinion. Instead, in both cases: I focus on outcomes:
- Does the public health measure result in more or less lives saved?
- Does the political policy/politician/party aim closer to the targets I believe in and am fighting towards?
On these fronts I see far too many propagandized/knee-jerk/fear-based/reactionary members of society who, sorry to be blunt, do not have a clearly defined vision of the world they are aiming for – let alone the critical thinking education and political-science language to describe it. These two factors alone are absolutely paramount when engaging in respectful dialogue both online and off.
So this database is my attempt to help bridge that divide.
You may notice a proliferation of YouTube and Reddit links. There are two reasons for this:
- YOUTUBE: For my entire life I avoided YouTube like the plague and instead for years and years focussed on posting articles & studies that these videos were referring to. But quite simply, they were falling on deaf ears so I had to meet people where they are at. So, since 2024 I dove in deep to learn the YT landscape to be able to speak to it to help navigate what I consider to be higher quality channels & videos to point people to.
- REDDIT: Quite simply, these posts are entirely due to the Facebook news block in Canada. Posting these articles from Reddit allows not only the article itself to be posted, but an added bonus of having often great discussions below.
- UPDATE! PSA! I have finally solved this issue with a tool I believe in: FB allows archived webpages from Archive.org! So not only can we continue to share quality articles in a time when they are needed most, but we can also support one of the *single most valuable projects on the *entire internet itself!
